Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a enthusiastic Teacher of Physics for a secondary school in the BB4 area, Lancashire. The role begins November 2026 and offers a competitive MPS/UPS salary dependent on experience.

The successful candidate will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach KS5, plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to a collaborative science department in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics across KS3/KS4 and possibly KS5.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour in all lessons.
  • Collaborate with science faculty to enhance the curriculum.

A forward-thinking and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Physics to join its successful Science department from November 2026.

The Role
  • Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching Physics within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Is committed to raising standards and improving student outcomes.
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.
