Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Physics Masters graduates or students to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. You will design challenging physics problems and develop clear, step-by-step solutions to test AI reasoning across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum topics.

This is a fully remote hourly contract (10–40 hours/week). No prior AI experience required; strong physics background and precise writing are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters or current student in Physics, Applied Physics, or closely related field.
• Strong ability to solve complex physics problems.
• Clear written communication of concepts and reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Design rigorous physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
• Develop clear, step‑by‑step solutions showing logical reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of scientific reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level topics.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback to improve AI model performance.

About The Role We're looking for physics Masters graduates and students to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your advanced problem-solving skills will directly shape how AI reasons through complex physics — from undergraduate fundamentals to graduate-level challenges.

What You'll Do

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
• Strong problem‑solving ability across multiple advanced physics domains
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and precisely in writing
• Detail‑oriented with a systematic approach to evaluating technical content
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic research
• Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
• Prior tutoring, teaching, or curriculum development experience in physics
