Job summary

Greater Portland Health is seeking a Physician - Lead Provider in Portland to join our care team. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, while supporting clinical quality improvement, mentorship, and collaboration with operations on workflows.

32–40 hours/week, with triage nursing support and limited Saturday hours. Board-certified in Family Medicine or Med/Peds and a Maine MD/DO license with a valid DEA number are required, along with credentialing

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Med/Peds.
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program with a Maine state license to practice medicine and a valid DEA number.
• Must be credentialed at assigned hospitals and contractible on Greater Portland Health insurance plans.
• Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $215,000.00 To $235,000.00 Annually

Are you looking to join a collaborative team with wrap around services to care for the most vulnerable in our community? Greater Portland Health is looking for a Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician to join our care team at our 295 Park Avenue location in Portland as a lead provider. This position provides primary care to patients of all ages from a variety of cultural backgrounds. The lead provider role also supports clinical quality improvement projects, clinical mentorship and works closely with practice operations on workflows.

Hours: 32 to 40 hours a week. Full time. Call by phone only with triage nursing support (3-4 weeks a year). Limited Saturday hours (Saturday morning 4 hour shift 3-4 times a year)

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Med/Peds
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DP program with a Maine State license to practice medicine and have a valid DEA number required.
• Be able to be credentialed at assigned hospitals and contractible on Greater Portland Health insurance plans.
