Job Description

A career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy. At Hitachi Rail, our people are helping to create safer, smarter and more sustainable transportation networks around the world. Working as part of our global Physical Security Competence Centre, you'll play a key role in safeguarding critical infrastructure while helping shape security best practice across the business.

Your New Role As Physical Security Manager - UK & Nordics

you will be responsible for the management, assessment and continuous improvement of physical security measures across Hitachi Rail sites throughout the region. The role is predominantly UK-focused, supporting sites from Scotland to Plymouth, whilst also maintaining oversight of our Nordic locations. You'll work closely with site stakeholders, operational teams and the wider Security Competence Centre to identify risks, implement security improvements and ensure compliance with security standards and governance requirements. • Investigate physical security incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce future risk.
  • Support business development and bid teams by providing security expertise for customer opportunities and tender submissions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative physical and digital security solutions.
  • Oversee security systems, access control arrangements and security service providers across multiple locations.
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders, operational teams, external partners and security providers.
  • Share best practice and contribute to the development of global physical security standards and governance.
  • Provide support during security incidents and emergency situations as required.
About You

You'll be a proactive security professional who enjoys balancing strategic planning with operational delivery.
