About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our team and inspire young people to lead active, healthy lives. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of age groups and abilities, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and wellbeing in line with Curriculum for Excellence (CfE).

Essential Qualifications and Requirements
  • A relevant degree in Physical Education or Sports Science (e.g. BEd, PGDE in PE, or equivalent).

  • Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).

  • Demonstrated experience teaching PE within Scottish schools or an equivalent educational setting.

  • Strong understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence, particularly within the Health and Wellbeing framework.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Commitment to inclusive practice and promoting participation from all learners.

Desirable
  • Experience in extracurricular coaching or leading school sports teams.

  • Additional coaching qualifications (e.g. UKCC Level 1/2 in relevant sports).

  • First Aid certification.
