Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is recruiting for a Physical Disabilities Advisory Support Worker to join the SENDISS team. You will support children with physical disabilities across Oxfordshire, in early years and primary settings, working with schools, families and health colleagues to promote inclusion and independence.

You will deliver targeted interventions, share practical approaches, and help children access learning and play opportunities in a flexible, term-time framework across various

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and how physical disabilities affect learning.
• Experience supporting children with physical disabilities in schools or educational settings.
• Enhanced DBS check and Children's Barred List checks required.
• Ability to work with parents, carers and school staff to promote inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions and model effective strategies to enable learning and play.
• Support children to access learning opportunities and transition between settings.
• Collaborate with families, school staff and multi‑agency partners; contribute to planning and training.
