Job Summary
CLCH are looking for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated physical activity leader to join the Wandsworth Healthy Lifestyle Team.
The Wandsworth Healthy Lifestyle Team work across the borough to deliver Health4Life weight management programmes to children aged 2‑11 and mothers with a baby under 2 years old. The team work alongside Health Visitors and School Nurses to provide excellent locally based care to families within Wandsworth.
Excellent communication skills and a kind, compassionate manner are essential to deliver motivating physical activity sessions. The role requires creative exercise approaches to engage children of all ages. Mobile and agile working is key, so the successful candidate will be comfortable travelling between venues throughout the day.
Main duties
- Degree, diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject area or equivalent specialised physical activity experience.
- REPS or CIMSPA registration.
- Experience working with children.
- An enthusiastic, can‑do attitude.

Person Specification
Education / Qualification (Essential)
- Level 3 exercise‑related qualification, registered with CIMSPA.
- A degree, diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through working in specialised physical activity.
- Post‑natal exercise qualification.
- Basic literacy and numeracy, general education.
Education / Qualification (Desirable)
- Nutrition qualification or CPD.
- Evidence of continuing education and training.
Experience (Essential)
- Experience delivering and promoting physical activity programmes in a community environment.
- Experience planning a series of progressive physical activity sessions leading to sustainable community participation.
- Experience working with adults and children (age 0‑11) in a 1‑2‑1 and group environment to support positive lifestyle change.
Experience (Desirable)
- Experience providing or developing health interventions for targeted groups.
- Experience dealing with members of the public who may have communication difficulties.
Skills & Knowledge (Essential)
- Sound knowledge of physical activity, health policy, and the links between physical activity and health as well as knowledge of the public health agenda, current health legislation, and the health care needs of individuals in the community.
