SANZA Teaching Agency are working with a high-achieving, creative and exceptionally well-led 3-form entry Primary School in Brent who are seeking an experienced Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Read Write Inc (RWI) experience and a genuine passion for helping children make rapid progress in early reading.

About the Role - Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant

The school is seeking a passionate practitioner to deliver targeted phonics support across EYFS and KS1. Your role will include:

  • Delivering Read Write Inc (RWI) interventions to individual pupils and small groups
  • Supporting pupils who require additional help with early reading, blending, segmenting and decoding
  • Tracking progress and feeding back to class teachers and the phonics lead
  • Working closely with experienced teachers, parallel year groups and the school's literacy coordinator
  • Helping maintain the school's strong reading culture
  • Ensuring sessions are engaging, structured and well-paced
  • Supporting class-based learning when required
  • Creating an encouraging and motivating environment for all learners

This role would suit someone who is confident, proactive and able to lead high-quality intervention sessions independently.
