A healthcare provider in Sheffield is seeking a motivated phlebotomist to deliver high-quality blood collection services. The successful candidate will possess a qualification in phlebotomy, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and experience working in primary care. The role involves safely collecting blood samples, ensuring accurate labelling, and providing a compassionate approach to all patients. Competitive hourly wage of £13 based on experience.

Beauchief Medical Practice is the new practice name of what were formerly two well and long-established GP practices in Sheffield serving S8 and S17 areas i.e. Abbey Lane Surgery and Totley Rise Medical Centre.
We have a friendly team consisting of 25 members of staff.
A successful applicant must be able to:
To collect blood samples from patients through venepuncture as requested by GPs, clinicians and other health professionals.
To collect blood samples safely.
To produce accurate labelling on all samples containers using legible handwriting, ensuringstrict attention to detail for the purpose of guaranteeing samples are labelled with correctpatient details.
To ensure blood samples are collected in appropriate containers, labelled correctly and sent in a timely and correct manner.
Demonstrate a courteous, sympathetic, compassionate and helpful approach to patients,relatives and visitors at all times.
Has knowledge and understanding of the needs of the patient.
Has undertaken a recognised assessors course for venepuncture.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
