Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated phlebotomist to join a busy team. You will collect blood samples across multiple sites, maintain accuracy and patient safety, and support a rota with Bank Holidays. Training is provided to develop phlebotomy competency.

The role requires excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to work under pressure while staying calm and organized. Flexibility across Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths
• English and Maths assessment prior to interview
• 6-week in-house training program
• Desire to achieve phlebotomy competency
• Venepuncture certificate evidence of training

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomist role across inpatient wards, outpatient departments, and local hospitals.
• Collect blood samples accurately and safely for high-quality diagnostics.
• Adhere to Trust policies and legal requirements at all times.
• Provide a consistent, safe, professional patient care framework.
• Cover Bank Holiday service as part of a team rota across sites.
