The Rotherham Hospital NHS FoundationTrust is seeking an enthusiastic Phlebotomist to join our caring, experiencedteam. Your main role will be to obtain blood samples via venepuncture, withfull training provided.

This rewarding position supportspatient care across inpatient, outpatient, and paediatric settings. Workingacross two Rotherham NHS sites, you will help deliver high-quality,compassionate phlebotomy services.

  • Flexible Working-7- day service on a 6-week rolling rota, includingBank Holidays.
  • Travel -Due to the nature of the role itis essential that applicants are able to travel independently between TRFTsites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to asuitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can beconsidered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Main duties of the job

As a Phlebotomist at The Rotherham Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a key role in supporting patient care by ensuring the accurate and timely collection, identification, and transport of blood samples.

You will follow strict protocols for patient identification and sample labelling, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and contribute to efficient stock management. The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and adherence to Trust policies and procedures to ensure a reliable and patient-centred phlebotomy service.
