A healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join their team at Prince Charles Hospital. The role involves collecting blood samples and working closely with the Clinical Haematology team. Candidates should have good communication skills, experience in the care sector, and it is desirable to be venepuncture trained. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care within the NHS. Welsh language skills are advantageous but not essential.

The phlebotomy team are staff members of Pathology at Prince Charles Hospital, work closely with the nurses in the Clinical Haematology department.
As a phlebotomist you will join the staff rota and will be required to collect blood samples providing a service to the wards and outpatients areas. A robust training programme will be given to ensure the appropriate skill and knowledge is achieved therefore ensuring a good quality of samples can be analysed accurately by haematology , biochemistry microbiology and blood bank.

The Pathology Directorate is looking to appoint a part-time phlebotomist to the existing team. The post holder will be based at the PCH site on a permanent 8 hour contract set over 5 days and will work as part of the Clinical Haematology team to deliver a safe and efficient phlebotomy service within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB). The post holder will work closely with the Phlebotomy Supervisor.
The post holder will be required to within the phlebotomy team and work individually to perform phlebotomy duties in the outpatient's setting, ward areas and the Clinical Haematology nursing team within CTMUHB.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual with good communication skills and a background in patient care. The skill and knowledge of venepuncture are desirable but not essential.

Thisdoesn'tmean essential;whilst the candidatedoesn'tneed to have skills in Welsh,we'llconsider it an advantage when short-listingand selectingcandidates.Thisisn't'fluency',just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above.
