Qualifications

• Extensive Phlebotomy experience.
• Fertility experience desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with both work colleagues and patients.
• Up to date knowledge of Health & Safety and Safeguarding protocols.
• Knowledge of specimen requirements.
• Intricate attention to detail.
• Remain empathetic to patients at all times.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining blood specimens in line with blood processing and handling procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort whilst in the Fertility Clinic.
• Inform service users of procedures and what will happen next.
• Communicate effectively and considerately to patients and their family/support.
• Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team.

Phlebotomist-IVF

London: Lister Fertility @ The Lister Hospital
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Unit is open Mon-Saturday 8am-7pm and flexibility will be required to cover these times
Permanent contract
Salary: Competitive, plus shift allowance

We’re looking for a Phlebotomist to join our IVF team at The Lister Fertility Clinic @ The Lister Hospital.

You will have the opportunity to grow into more responsibility and diversify your role as the service grows and modifies and your career with us develops.

Main responsibilities

• Obtaining blood specimens in line with blood processing and handling procedures
• Ensure patient safety and comfort whilst in the Fertility Clinic, making sure not to compromise on their dignity and privacy at all times
• Inform service users of the procedures and what will happen next
• Communicate effectively and considerately to the patients and their family/support
• Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a consistent level of care is provided to all service users and their support group
