Hours/Shifts

3 - 12 hour shifts per a week

Responsibilities
  • The primary function of this position is to access patient requisitions/labels, collect samples of blood from patients of all ages in a timely manner and keep work flow at a smooth pace.
  • Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • May prick finger to draw blood.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Phlebotomist certification is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required before working on the unit.
