A National Health Organization in Camberley is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join their friendly team. The successful candidate will work flexibly across multiple sites and collaborate with GPs and Practice Nurses to deliver high-quality patient care. The position offers part-time hours, starting at £13.00 per hour with benefits including a company pension and sick pay.

Schedule:
Phlebotomists play an important part in general practice. They provide valuable assistance for both the GPs and Practice Nurses.
Working under the supervision of the Practice Nurses & Clinical Manager and strictly in accordance with Park Road Group Practice protocols, they will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of specific patient care. They will be required to work in a team as well as independently and will be required to be flexible to the needs of the practice.
As a Phlebotomist at Park Road Group Practice, they will have been trained and assessed as competent in all clinical tasks delegated to them. They will have access to the advice and support of GPs and practice nurses.
Main responsivities:
Ensuring patient needs and care are met.
Urine analysis & processing of samples including handling and storage of specimens in-line with IPC policy.
Attending Park Road Group Practice meetings, scheduled training and appraisals when appropriate.
Adhering to Infection Prevention Control & sharps safety
Participate in the education and training of students of all disciplines and the induction of all members of practice staff
Maintain effective liaison with other agencies and staff concerned with patient care and with all other disciplines within the practice, with appropriate regard to confidentiality.

Ensuring all training both mandatory and refresher training is kept up to date.
Adhering to Infection Prevention Control & sharps safety.
Participate in the education and training of students of all disciplines and the induction of all members of practice staff.
Maintain effective liaison with other agencies and staff concerned with patient care and with all other disciplines within the practice, with appropriate regard to confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities that may be required following relevant training:
Patient assessment BP, height, weight, BMI calculation.
Blood glucose monitoring capillary sampling.
Assisting with specialist GP clinics such as minor surgery & family planning.
Relevant checks for QOF and enhanced services as required.
Maintain patient records to ensure accurate records of all consultations and treatments are recorded in patients Emis records.
Be responsible for relevant monthly call/recall.
Emis reports to support enhanced service QOF recalls.
Monthly stock rechecks & rotation.
Cleaning and re-stocking consulting rooms & clinical supplies in conjunction with Clinical Manager.
