Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. is partnering with a highly regarded grammar school in Tonbridge, Kent, seeking an experienced Teacher of Philosophy and Religious Studies to join its established department and inspire academically able students.

You will deliver A-Level Philosophy (AQA 7172) alongside GCSE Religious Studies (AQA 8062) and lower-school RS, creating engaging, rigorous lessons that develop critical thinking and analytic writing.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in A-Level Philosophy, particularly AQA 7172.
• Confident delivering Metaphysics of Mind and Epistemology.
• Experience teaching GCSE Religious Studies, ideally AQA 8062.
• Ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons to academically able students.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passionate about Philosophy and developing independent analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver A-Level Philosophy and GCSE RS and lower school RS.
• Teach Epistemology and Metaphysics of Mind at A-Level.
• Prepare students for A-Level and GCSE exams with rigorous assessment.
• Foster critical discussion and develop analytical writing.
