Job summary

Age UK is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to grow income from high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists across the UK and internationally. You will manage a portfolio of major donor prospects, developing bespoke cultivation and stewardship plans to inspire five- and six-figure gifts.

You will lead exceptional donor stewardship, delivering personalised engagement, impact reporting, and bespoke experiences that connect supporters to Age UK’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Substantive track record managing high-value relationships and five-figure gifts.
  • Experience growing and managing a pipeline of prospects and donors.
  • Ability to work towards and meet income targets.
  • Experience delivering events to engage philanthropists.
  • Experience using a fundraising database to track key information.
  • Experience using the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job description

Age UK is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Philanthropy Manager to play a pivotal role in growing income from high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists, supporting our work across the UK and internationally.

In this exciting role, you will manage a portfolio of major donor prospects and supporters, developing bespoke cultivation and stewardship plans that inspire significant five and six-figure gifts. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will build meaningful, long-term relationships, create compelling funding propositions, and identify innovative opportunities to maximise philanthropic income.

You will also lead exceptional donor stewardship, delivering personalised engagement opportunities, insightful impact reporting, and memorable experiences that bring supporters closer to Age UK’s mission.

We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of one day per week currently on Thursdays and when face to face meeting and events dictate. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Experience
  • A substantive and successful track record of managing the life cycle of high-value relationships, including securing five-figure gifts (A, I)
