Job summary

University of Cambridge invites applications for fully funded, four-year PhD studentships at the Cambridge Institute for Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID) within the Department of Medicine. The CG-AGE programme, a collaboration with GSK, seeks to understand immune ageing through multi-omic single-cell analyses and machine learning.

Students will gain broad experimental, computational and transferable skills in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Candidates should hold a UK 2:1 Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Background in molecular biology or computational biology/informatics is required.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation of multi-omic data is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a four-year PhD project characterising aged immune responses.
• Apply computational machine learning approaches to analyze longitudinal immune data.
• Prepare and present research findings within weekly journals and annual symposia.
