The University of Cambridge invites applications for a 4-year PhD studentship led by Professor Sir Shankar Balasubramanian. The project combines chemistry and biology to explore genome function, with access to cutting-edge facilities at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry and the CRUK Cambridge Institute.

Candidates should have a strong background in biochemistry/chemistry and/or molecular biology, with an interest in genomics.

Qualificações

• Background in biochemistry/chemistry and/or molecular biology.
• Knowledge of genomics is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct interdisciplinary research on genome function using chemistry and biology methods.
• Develop and apply techniques to map small molecule interactions with DNA and chromatin.
• Collaborate with Balasubramanian lab and CRUK Cambridge Institute.
