The Neuromorphic Photonics and Neurotechnologies groups at the Institute of Photonics (IoP) of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK, invite applications for PhD Doctoral Candidate positions funded under the MSCA MINDnet network. Qualifications

  • Must have a suitable degree in a relevant field of study for the programme.
  • Candidates must not already hold a doctoral degree.
  • MSCA funding requires DCs must not have resided in the UK more than 12 months in the 36 months before recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out research at the interface between neuromorphic computing and optogenetic control of neural circuits.
  • Participate in secondments across Europe and engage in training schools and workshops.
  • Become part of the DC cohort with supervision from Prof Keith Mathieson and collaboration with consortium partners.
