Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Based Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy Department. This is a Band 2/3 role with Monday to Friday hours, plus evening, weekend and bank holiday shifts on a rotational basis.

You will review prescriptions, prioritise urgent discharge prescriptions, assist with medicines optimisation, and handle controlled drugs, patient medications, and digital record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is essential.
  • Previous experience in dispensing is not necessary as full training will be given.

NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is essential for this role, candidates without this qualification will be appointed at Band 2 and will progress to Band 3 on completion of the qualification. Previous experience in dispensing is not necessary as full training will be given.


Please note this role will not be eligible for sponsorship as it doesn't meet the minimum salary requirements for a skilled worker visa, therefore you must have appropriate right to work in the UK or your application will not be progressed to the next stage of Recruitment.
