Job summary

Tesco Pharmacy in Shrewsbury is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to accurately dispense prescription medicines and provide friendly, professional advice on medicines, ailments and pharmacy services.

You will support pharmacy management, follow SOPs, keep the dispensary clean and compliant, and handle queries from customers and healthcare professionals. Ongoing CPD and GPhC registration are expected, with flexible hours and a guaranteed minimum 16 hours per week.

Qualifications

• NVQ‑level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (or equivalent).
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
• Evidence of completing CPD requirements annually.

Tesco Pharmacy Technicians pay starts at £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.
