This is an exciting opportunity to bring your medicines expertise into a modern GP practice where you will play a key role in delivering safer prescribing, improving patient outcomes, and supporting our expanding clinical services.

Working alongside clinical pharmacists, GPs, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help streamline medicines processes, support medication reviews, and contribute to high-quality, patient‑centred care. Our practice values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement, making this a great environment for a Pharmacy Technician who wants to grow their skills and take on new responsibilities. If you are proactive, organised, and passionate about making a positive difference for patients, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will support the safe and effective use of medicines across the practice by working closely with our clinical pharmacists, GPs, nurses and wider MDT. Your work will help ensure smooth, accurate and efficient medicines processes, supporting both patients and clinicians. You will assist with medicines‑related queries, help optimise repeat prescribing systems, and contribute to timely medicines reconciliation. You will also support medication reviews within your scope, promote good medicines management, and help identify opportunities to improve safety and reduce risk.

The role offers a mix of patient‑facing and administrative duties, giving you the chance to work directly with patients while also improving practice systems behind the scenes. You will be involved in quality improvement work, contribute to audits, and support the development of good prescribing practice. This is a varied and rewarding position that will allow you to make a real contribution to patient care while developing your career within primary care.
