Rates: £17 - £25 (dependent on experience)

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to support a busy Acute Hospital. This is a patient‑facing, ongoing role, offering the opportunity to contribute to patient care across both, outpatient and inpatient pharmacy areas.

This is a hands‑on, clinical role requiring a thorough individual, with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense and accuracy‑check prescriptions
  • Support accurate medication history taking
  • Liaise with nurses and doctors regarding discrepancies with patients' medication to improve patient care
  • Provide counselling and complex medication advice to patients and other health‑care professionals
  • Work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure legal and professional standards are met in dispensing and supply
Essential Requirements
  • GPhC registration
  • Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
