Job summary

NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group is seeking a motivated individual for an Aseptic Production role at our Liverpool site. The post involves rotations through cytotoxic reconstitution, CIVAS and TPN within a new unit, contributing to a sterile parenteral medicines production and distribution service.

Requirements include NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or Science Manufacturing Technician (or working towards) and GPhC/Science Council membership.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent is required.
• Must be a member of the GPhC, Science Council or equivalent.

• Chemotherapy - cytotoxic reconstitution service.
• Parenteral Nutrition Service serving hospital and home patients, including adult and neonatal products.
• Intravenous Additive Service for Royal University Hospitals and external customers.

Job description

We have a highly regarded Aseptic Production Unit (APU) at the Trust and moved into our brand new unit in 2023. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an interest in Aseptic production. The role will involve rotations through cytotoxic reconstitution, CIVAS and TPN.

The post holder will contribute the running of an efficient and effective manufacturing service by contributing to the production and the distribution of sterile parenteral medicines.

You must have NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services or Science Manufacturing Technician or equivalent (or working towards these) and be a member of the GPhC, Science Council or equivalent.

The successful applicant will be delivering the day to day workload as member of a dedicated team, to include:

• Chemotherapy - cytotoxic reconstitution service.
• Parenteral Nutrition Service serving both hospital and home patients, including adult and neonatal products.
• Intravenous Additive Service to offer an extensive range of products for both Royal University Hospitals and external customers.
