Job summary

Well Pharmacy, part of Bestway Healthcare, is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Technician to lead the dispensary, coordinate dispensing, manage stock and assist customers with healthcare advice at the counter.

The role offers varied daily duties, including stock control and customer service across our UK branches.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• GPhC registration required.
• DBS/PVG clearance before start (if not on the Automatic Update Service, we will apply).

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise the dispensary for smooth operation.
• Coordinate dispensing medications safely and accurately.
• Manage stock levels and assist customers with healthcare advice at the counter.
• Support sales and store duties including product displays and cash handling.
• Be the first point of contact for customers and engage with GP surgeries and local care homes as needed.

Main Responsibility

Your main responsibilities as Pharmacy Technician will be to lead and organise the smooth running of the dispensary and co‑ordinate dispensing medication effectively and safely, managing stock levels and be another expert for our customers to talk to, providing healthcare advice and services at the counter. You’ll also assist with sales and general store duties including product displays and cash transactions. As every day is different, you could find yourself getting involved with everything from acting as the first point of contact for customers, managing high volume dispensing transactions for local care homes to dealing with operational queries from GP surgeries.

The Ideal Candidate

As aPharmacy Technician, you will be friendly and organised with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Building relationships with your customers is key and you’ll play an important part in meeting their unique healthcare needs.

You should also have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and GPhC registration.

All successful applicants to this role are required to have an up to date DBS/PVG before their start dates. If you are not on the Automatic Update Service, we will apply for a DBS/PVG for you.
