A healthcare provider in South Shields is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their family-oriented team. This part-time position involves managing prescription requests and contributing to medication effectiveness. The role is situated at both the main surgery and a branch site. Applicants must have relevant training in pharmacy work, and experience in primary care is desirable. The surgery offers a supportive environment, making it an ideal opportunity for new talent.
Opportunity to join a family‑oriented team in a new position within the practice, working at both the main surgery in South Shields and the branch site in Jarrow.
Taking control of incoming prescription requests, medication optimisation and second line monitoring requirements to enable safe and effective medication provision, along with contributions towards wider team and medication effectiveness via audits and other related work. Warm & welcoming smaller practice of just under 6,000 patients. 3 Partners, 2 long‑term locum GPs, PM and APM, Nurse with 2 x HCA’s and 8 non‑clinical staff all contribute to the surgery aims. The surgery is also a training practice, currently enjoying the benefits and learning pathway of an ST1.
Salary: Depending on experience.
Contract: Permanent.
Working pattern: Part‑time.
