Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C Prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. Highpoint is a male prison with a capacity of 1,370 males. You will be based within the healthcare department but will also go out to the wings to administer medication. The pharmacy team consists of five members.

Working Hours

This role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week over four days per week, Monday‑Friday, 7:45 am to 6:15 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding quality‑based patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
  • Deliver non‑judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
