A local NHS healthcare provider is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join their Dispensary Team. The role involves providing technical support, ensuring stock control, and assisting in comprehensive patient counseling. The role of the successful candidate will include:
Croydon Health Services provides integrated NHS services to care for people at home, in schools, and health clinics across the borough as well as at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital.
Our experienced district nursing teams, Allied Health Professionals and community matrons look after people of all ages across Croydon and our Children’s Hospital at Home cares for children with long‑term conditions without them having to come to hospital.

We are able to support the professional development of our Pharmacy Technicians in all areas of dispensary, including candidates working towards Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technicians.

Candidates must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, hold a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science and an NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
The successful applicant will contribute to late duty and weekend working.

The post holder is a qualified registered Pharmacy Technician who performs a range of routine and non‑routine work activities based on a broad foundation from which further skill development is possible.
The post holder will be accountable for meeting the General Pharmaceutical Council Code of Ethics/Standards for Pharmacy Professionals, practising safely and effectively at all times.
Under the supervision of the Chief and Senior Technicians, the post holder will help ensure the provision of a high quality, customer‑focused pharmaceutical service to in‑patients, discharge patients, accident and emergency patients and private patients.
Actively participate in a Continuing Professional Development programme, developing professional knowledge and competence.
The post holder will work towards developing the skills of a Pharmacy Technician Higher Level.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self‑motivated and committed Pharmacy Technician to join the Dispensary Team at Croydon University Hospital.
This may be an ideal opportunity for newly qualified Pharmacy Technicians or a Trainee Pharmacy Technician who has worked in community pharmacy / hospital pharmacy and would like to join our friendly and dedicated Pharmacy team in our technologically equipped Pharmacy Department at CUH.
This role will not only enable you to develop your skills within dispensary but will also enable you to build skills and experience in supervising workflow on a day‑to‑day basis.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well‑organised, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be able to adapt to changing demands and be committed to providing a high quality patient‑focused service.
