Job description

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with operational capacity of around 900. This is a full-time role, with an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a 2 week rolling rota; shifts vary weekly and you will work alternate weekends. Hours fall between 07:30 - 17:30.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start or continue your career in Pharmacy and Healthcare. No previous experience is necessary, and we will support you with lots of training and development opportunities.

Salary: £23,809.50 per annum

Main duties of the job

As our new Pharmacy Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
• Second check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds
• Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines
• Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
• Work in the medication hatches on the wings
• Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals
