Job summary

Tesco UK Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead a busy Tesco Pharmacy team and deliver NHS and private services along with expert healthcare advice. You’ll oversee staff development, support community health initiatives, and ensure smooth daily operations with effective scheduling.

This role requires a Pharmacy degree, GPhC registration, PVG willingness, and DBS clearance. We welcome applicants who can balance leadership with compassionate patient care and flexibility in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree required and eligibility to practice.
• Strong leadership and people development skills for coaching the team.

Responsibilities

• Supply prescriptions and deliver NHS and private services while advising customers on healthcare.
• Support the community through Tesco's charity initiatives and patient outreach.
• Lead, train and develop pharmacy colleagues to ensure high service levels.
• Utilize planning systems to ensure adequate pharmacy staffing for patient needs.

• You’ll supply prescriptions, deliver a range of NHS and Private services and provide healthcare advice to customers


• You'll play anactive role in our charities support program giving advice to people in the community at risk of or living with cancer, heartdisease, and diabetes.


• You’ll lead, train, and develop colleagues.


• You’ll use a planning system to ensure pharmacy staff are available, so we’re always there to meet our customers’ needs.

• You’ll have a Pharmacy Degree.


• You’ll be passionate about leading and empowering a team.


• You’ll be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and be willing to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme – we’ll help you with this when we offer you the role.


• You’ll complete a DBS check (organised by us) before employment.

Our Pharmacy Managers are supported by wider store teams, such as security, stock replenishment, range management, and administration to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for our customers and patients, whilst maintaining theirs and our colleague’s safety.
