A public healthcare organization is seeking a Pharmacy Higher Business and Administration Assistant to support the Pharmacy Departments with procurement and clerical tasks. The role requires GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics, IT skills, and previous pharmacy experience. The position offers flexible working hours with a fixed-term contract of 12 months. Competitive salary ranging from £24,937 to £26,598 per annum.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide business and administrative support to the various sections and staff within the Pharmacy Departments at Hexham, The Northumbria, North Tyneside General and Wansbeck Hospitals.

The post will be based at North Tyneside General Hospital but the post holder may be required to work at other sites within the Trust. Based within the Pharmacy Office at North Tyneside General Hospital, you will become an integral part of the Pharmacy team, undertaking duties which contribute to the safe, effective and timely procurement of medicines. The main responsibilities are the procurement of medicines, the accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices and management of medicine supply issues. You will also be responsible for providing some clerical support to the various managers within Pharmacy, report production, data input, arranging meetings and any additional duties as required. This is a fast paced, demanding role suited for candidates who are up for a challenge.

To ensure the efficient and timely procurement, invoice processing and shortage management of medicines and other items and provide clerical support to the Pharmacy department when required.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
