Tesco’s Pharmacy team is seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser to support daily operation, dispense prescription medicines with care, and advise customers on medicines and services. You’ll work as part of a collaborative store team, delivering friendly service and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

This role offers flexible hours, a minimum of 12–16 hours weekly in many locations, and a benefits package including colleague discounts and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
• A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
• A passion for delivering great service and helping customers find the right products.
• Ability to build rapport with customers and provide confident guidance.
• Decision-making to support customers with OTC guidance or refer to the pharmacist when needed.
• Positive, team-focused approach and open communication across store colleagues.

Tesco Pharmacy Dispenser pay starts at £13.70 per hour, rising to £14.97 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will be responsible for

• Experience or qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
• A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field
• A passion for delivering great service, greeting every customer with a smile, and serving them with pride while helping them find the right products and solutions.
• The ability to build rapport quickly so customers leave feeling confident, supported, and reassured, having had a great experience at the Pharmacy counter.
• The initiative to make the right decisions for customers, whether you’re supporting them with over-the-counter product guidance, helping with prescription queries, or knowing when to refer them to the pharmacist for expert advice.
• A positive, team focused approach, communicating openly, working well with colleagues across the store, having fun, and celebrating success together.
