Job summary

Boots Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, providing patient advice, and delivering safe, compliant pharmaceutical services.

Based in-store, you will work with healthcare professionals to ensure effective medicines management, patient safety, and excellent service. Training and progression toward Pharmacy Technician status can be supported as you develop your healthcare knowledge.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and completed first year of an MPharm.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines according to SOPs.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients in managing their prescriptions and adherence, including repeat management.
