Job summary

Boots UK in the United Kingdom is seeking a Dispenser to support pharmacists and healthcare professionals within a Boots store. You will dispense prescriptions, advise patients, and help with safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services, within the store’s healthcare department. This is a UK-based, in-store role with no remote applicants accepted.

Right to work in the UK is required. You will work under SOPs, build patient relationships, and have opportunities for career development

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with innovations in-store and comply with operational processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
