Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
  • Applying technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for our customers.
  • Dispensing prescription medicines, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  • Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly and professional manner, providing a great service that encourages repeat visits.
  • Offering appropriate information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
  • Understanding customers’ needs, explaining product benefits clearly and selling only suitable products.
  • Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
  • Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and dispensing processes according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
  • Handling clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners within area of competence.
  • Responding to customer queries about prescription medicines and informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
  • Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  • Maintaining clean, tidy and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms.
  • Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
  • Bringing promotional activities and company initiatives to life within the team.
  • Carrying out all procedures accurately to protect profit, trade safely and legally.
  • Completing corporate and departmental training.
  • Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
About the Position

Pharmacy Assistants are integral to the running of our Pharmacies. We are looking for a team player who can take on these responsibilities and has a desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.

Salary & Benefits

£37,264 per year (estimated). Full time New. Minimum 16 guaranteed hours per week; options to work fewer than 16 hours (minimum 12). Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.87 an hour; increases to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
