Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Digital Systems Data Specialist to join our Pharmacy Informatics Team. This pivotal role supports the deployment and optimisation of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) across the Trust, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant prescribing practices. The successful candidate will contribute to formulary development, digital systems integration, and the creation of analytical dashboards to enhance clinical decision-making and patient safety. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, the postholder will provide expert guidance on digital medicines initiatives and uphold data integrity and governance standards. Additionally, contributing to national digital medicines strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Support the deployment and optimisation of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) across the Trust.
  • Contribute to formulary development, digital systems integration, and the creation of analytical dashboards to enhance clinical decision-making and patient safety.
  • Provide expert guidance on digital medicines initiatives and uphold data integrity and governance standards.
  • Contribute to national digital medicines strategies.
  • Support the design, build, and maintenance of formulary content for the Trust and its system partners.
  • Develop user-facing dashboards to help clinical teams interpret prescribing data and drive patient safety improvements.
  • Support the implementation of digital medicines initiatives and the development, validation, and maintenance of wider pharmacy digital systems.
  • Promote patient safety, ensure secure and reliable system access, and ensure systems meet clinical, regulatory, and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) to assure the safe and effective use of electronic medicines management systems.
