A prominent healthcare trust in the UK is seeking a dedicated professional to support homecare services. The role involves overseeing the procurement and distribution of homecare medications, coordinating with clinical teams, and supporting the management of homecare service queries. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of pharmaceutical care, incident reporting, and effective procurement practices. To work in partnership with the Chief Pharmacist, Principal Pharmacy Technician, Homecare Team and Providers to ensure safe, effective, economical and timely pharmaceutical care for all patients receiving a Homecare Services prescribed by CRH.
To assist and support the Senior Homecare Technician to plan, develop and organise new processes for the management of administrative work associated with the safe and accurate supply of critical medicines to patients in their homes.
To provide a range of support functions involved with the procurement and distribution of Homecare medicines and associated care. Process pharmacy homecare registration documents, prescriptions and invoices for payment ensuring prices agree with current contracts and goods with receipt records. Resolve pricing disputes with suppliers and recover additional costs incurred because of off contract purchases or non‑delivery of products.
Assists the Senior Homecare Technician with the management of homecare service needs including review process, document control, audit and KPI production and ratification.
Co‑ordinates the production of homecare invoices in liaison with the Pharmacy Finance and Information team and trusts Finance Department.
To undertake any training (managerial and professional) identified by staff appraisal.
To participate in weekend, on‑call, and Bank Holiday working in accordance with agreed rotas.
To maintain confidentiality at all times relating to the patients, staff, and the Trust.
To actively participate in the Staff Appraisal Process.
To be familiar and comply with relevant Operational, Personnel, Health and Safety policies and procedures, including Fire, COSHH, No Smoking and Alcohol.
Maintain a safe environment by adhering to local infection control policies.
