Pharmacy Assistant – Bank

Bupa Cromwell Hospital – SW5 0TU (5 mins walk from Earls Court underground or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road underground.)

The pharmacy service is open on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 8pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 2.30pm.

How you’ll help us make health happen :

As a key member of the Pharmacy Team you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meets the needs of all service users. You will contribute to the efficient day to day running of the dispensary working under the supervision of the chief pharmacy technician and receiving Pharmacist and senior technician support.

Responsibilities include dispensing, patient counselling, stock management, assisting in training of staff and ensuring dispensary duties are completed. All processes must be in line with legislation: CQC, Home Office, GPh.C and MHRA and CH SOP standards.

  • Replenish stocks and consumables as required.
  • Support archive room processes and month‑end tasks.
  • Carry out stock takes and expiry date checking.
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed.
  • Additional duties may be required within the scope of the role and / or services.
  • Process Compucare charges ensuring accuracy of patient accounts.
  • Manage pharmacy archiving following legal retention periods. Arrange off‑site collections.
  • Support dispensaries with daily stock takes, expiry date checking and stock rotation.
  • Support dispensaries with year‑end stock take audit.
  • Answer the telephone and redirect call as necessary.

Maintain clean and tidy workspaces.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role :
  • NVQ2 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy environment.
  • Good general education GCSEs in English or Maths or equivalent experience.
  • Pharmacy Student working towards MPharm.
