Job summary

Skills4Group is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Leamington Spa to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and engage with customers. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided over typically 15 months.

You will handle prescriptions under supervision, learn stock management, and develop strong customer service and communication skills in a busy community pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential; training may be provided.
• Evidence of Maths/English Level 2 can be required if not possessed.
• A genuine interest in healthcare and helping customers.

Brief Description

CV32 4RA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries

Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)

Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records

Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality

Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
