Job summary

Sanofi-aventis Groupe is offering a placement in the Pharmacovigilance team in the UK. You will support day-to-day processing of patient safety information and help ensure records are completed on time.

You will monitor the inbox, assist with case follow-ups, reconciliations and quality checks, and maintain well-organised documentation for audits.

This role provides exposure to a global pharmaceutical environment with mentoring, helping you grow in patient safety and the industry.

Qualifications

  • Studying for a scientific/medical degree (BSc or integrated Master’s) and returning to university after the placement.
  • Strong attention to detail and careful handling of information and documentation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise workload, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborative approach across teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and respond to feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support such as preparing meeting minutes, presentations and correspondence, organising documents and coordinating meetings.
  • Support clear and timely communication with colleagues across different teams, with guidance from experienced Pharmacovigilance team members.

What you will contribute

Contribute to team activities and projects while developing your understanding of patient safety, pharmacovigilance and the pharmaceutical industry.

To excel in this role you will need to have:
  • You should be studying for a scientific, medical or related discipline degree, either as an undergraduate (BSc) or as part of an integrated Master's programme, and be returning to university to continue your studies after completing the placement.
  • Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to working with information and documentation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organise your workload, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work with colleagues across different teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, ask questions and respond positively to feedback.
