Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team at Southport and Ormskirk Trust Hospital. The role is part time with Saturday shift 09:00–12:00 and a competitive rate plus benefits.

Newly qualified Pharmacists considered, we offer a supportive environment and clinical development opportunities. Responsibilities include dispensing accurately, providing patient counselling, collaborating with doctors and nurses, conducting medication reviews and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
• Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses to optimize patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunization services where applicable.

• We have excellent relationships with the NHS Trust partner.
• There is on site payable parking.
• EMIS Ascribe currently used in branch and is used by the Trust too.

Key Responsibilities
