Job summary

A leading insurance company in the UK is looking for a Product Owner for their Pet Insurance product. This role involves leading the vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals while delivering a top-notch experience for pet owners. Excellent collaboration skills are essential. The position operates in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in product management and relationship management, ideally with consumer-facing or pet-related products.
  • Ability to set and deliver commercial and customer KPIs, using insights and analytics to drive improvements.
  • Strong skills in business case development, benefits calculation, and prioritisation of product initiatives.
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced, agile environment, driving delivery and managing sprints.
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the vision and roadmap for the pet product, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Deeply understand pet owners and their needs to create a market-leading product experience.
  • Manage product performance, KPIs, and end-to-end customer experience across web, mobile, and apps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritise, and deliver product improvements.
  • Translate product themes, epics, and features into a prioritised sprint backlog for the scrum team.
  • Use insights and analytics to guide product decisions and optimise performance.
  • Develop business cases and commercial sizing for product improvement initiatives.
  • Champion agile delivery frameworks and promote best practices within the team.
  • Monitor market trends and inform product strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of experimentation.

What you’ll be doing:

As Product Owner for our Pet Insurance product, you’ll lead the vision, roadmap, and day-to-day management of the pet product within your squad. Your mission is to deliver an outstanding experience for pet owners while driving business value through innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Own and execute the vision and roadmap for the pet product, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Deeply understand pet owners and their needs to create a market-leading product experience.
  • Manage product performance, KPIs, and end-to-end customer experience across web, mobile, and apps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Aviva and Direct Line to identify, prioritise, and deliver product improvements.
  • Translate product themes, epics, and features into a prioritised sprint backlog for the scrum team.
  • Use insights and analytics to guide product decisions and optimise performance.
  • Develop business cases and commercial sizing for product improvement initiatives.
  • Champion agile delivery frameworks and promote best practices within the team.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behaviour, and digital innovations to inform product strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of experimentation and learning.
What you’ll need:

We’re looking for an experienced product professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for delivering customer value:

  • Proven experience in product management and relationship management, ideally with consumer-facing or pet-related products.
  • Ability to set and deliver commercial and customer KPIs, using insights and analytics to drive improvements.
  • Strong skills in business case development, benefits calculation, and prioritisation of product initiatives.
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced, agile environment, driving delivery and managing sprints.

Closing Date - 28th December 2025

Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you’ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office (all locations considered)
