Job summary

Rochdale Council is seeking a Pest Control Assistant to support the environmental health pest control team within the borough. You will assist with treatments in homes and businesses and help with surveys, learning essential pest control skills through a Council-funded qualification.

The role emphasizes customer service, good communication, and the ability to carry out risk assessments while handling pesticides responsibly. Prior pest control experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Rochdale resident within the Borough of Rochdale.
• Willing to learn pest control techniques and assist with treatments.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to complete risk assessments and handle pesticides responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Assist pest control treatments in domestic and commercial premises within Rochdale borough.
• Assist with pest infestation surveys and investigations.
• Visit residents’ homes to conduct assessments and treatments.
• Support the pest control team while learning the national qualification in pest control.
