Overview

Recruiting on behalf of a well-established local authority client, Service Care Solutions is seeking an experienced and proactive Pest Control Technician to join a highly regarded Environmental Services team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong customer‑service focus and technical pest control knowledge to contribute to a responsive and respected service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to pest‑related service requests across Manchester, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments prior to treatment and ensure all Health & Safety protocols are met.
  • Identify pest types and determine appropriate treatments, including the safe use of pesticides and traps.
  • Undertake follow‑up visits and handle the safe disposal of pests as necessary.
  • Collect and process payments for domestic treatments in line with Council procedures.
  • Promote pest control contracts to commercial customers and assist with pricing and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate manual and digital records of all treatments, visits, and client interactions.
  • Support drain inspections, sewer baiting, and other related environmental duties.
  • Engage professionally with customers and represent the Pest Control service positively in all interactions.

Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in sometimes challenging environments, including verminous or dirty premises.
  • Must be flexible with working hours, including occasional out-of-hours response.
  • Prepared to wear Council‑issued uniform and follow professional conduct standards at all times.
