We are looking for an enthusiastic Pest Control Operative to join our busy Pest Control Service Department in Bolton.
You will be responsible for treating a variety of pest issues within domestic and commercial environments. Determining the nature of the infestation and the pest involved and choosing the most effective and appropriate treatment, based on findings and after assessing the circumstances and risks at each property or commercial premises.
You will also be responsible for completing domestic appointments booked in the free rodent treatment diary, appointments booked for chargeable ad hoc treatments to domestic and commercial clients, and routine and emergency call out visits to businesses both internal and external, that have pest control service contracts with the service.
This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.
You should be physically fit enough to carry out some demanding tasks including working at height via ladders, entering confined spaces, loft hatches, attics where safe to do so, and to be able to use a variety of equipment including ladders, and application equipment.
You should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions, working both in a group and on your own initiative. You should be able to complete paperwork and records to fulfil our obligations to carry out any works completed in line with current legislation, including maintaining accurate manual and computerised records.
