Job summary

Rochdale Town Hall Environmental Health is seeking a Pest Control Assistant to join the borough pest control team. The role involves assisting with rodent and insect treatments in homes and businesses within Rochdale, while learning through hands-on work and a nationally recognised pest control qualification funded by the Council.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, customer-focused and prepared to visit residents to carry out assessments and treatments.

Qualifications

• Resident of Rochdale borough (within municipal boundaries)
• Willingness to learn pest control techniques
• Good written and spoken communication

Responsibilities

• Assist pest control treatments on domestic and commercial premises
• Support pest infestation surveys and investigations
• Learn and perform risk assessments and pesticide handling responsibilities
• Visit homes to conduct assessments and treatments while maintaining records
