Job summary

Nativemaps is looking for a Programme Coordinator to oversee the 'Protecting Rainforest in the Selva Central Region of Peru' project from their London office. The role involves collaborating with local partners, managing project implementation, and developing new initiatives in the Andes and Amazon region.

The ideal candidate should possess significant experience in project management, fluency in English and Spanish, and a master's degree in a relevant field. The position entails up to 15 weeks of travel to Peru annually.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years managing projects with local partners.
  • Experience in training and mentoring in developing countries.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Peru for 15 weeks annually.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the 'Protecting Rainforest in the Selva Central Region of Peru' project.
  • Develop new project opportunities in Peru and surrounding regions.
  • Assist in preparing funding proposals relevant to Andean Amazon projects.
  • Deliver capacity strengthening through mentoring to local partner organizations.
  • Support partner organizations in project implementation and evaluation.
  • Develop advocacy strategies for project effectiveness.
