Job summary

Equinox is hiring energetic Personal Trainers for its E St. James’s club in London. This is a non-exempt hourly role reporting to the Personal Trainer Manager, with significant opportunity to impact members and grow within our industry‑leading team.

You will build a strong client base, manage scheduling, market programs, deliver fitness assessments and guided workouts, and participate in ongoing education. Required: a Bachelor's in Kinesiology/Exercise Science (Master’s preferred), CPR/AED, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science required (Master’s preferred).
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Approved Personal Training Certification required.
• One additional certification and/or specialization required.
• 2+ years personal training experience required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an active client base.
• Manage and maintain an accurate schedule, inclusive of client appointments, meetings, and open availability within internal scheduling systems.
• Market and sell personal training programs to members and/or clients through calls, emails, and in-person interactions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM TO LEARN AND EXECUTE

PT Business Management

• Build and maintain an active client base
• Manage and maintain an accurate schedule, inclusive of client appointments, meetings, and open availability within our internal scheduling systems
• Market and sell personal training programs to members and/or clients through phone calls, emails, and in‑person interactions
• Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs, and products

Service and Hospitality

• Execute fitness assessments, guided workouts, and other complimentary services for members
• Interact with members to enhance their workouts and overall club experience
• Create and coach personalized programs for both in‑person and virtual clients
• Maintain an organized and safe fitness floor during shifts and sessions

Professional Development

• Attend Continuing Education classes to elevate knowledge and qualify for promotions
• Attend and participate in any required one‑on‑one or team meetings with management

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique.
• Ability to self‑promote and network.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and willingness to learn.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science required (Master’s preferred)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification required
• Approved Personal Training Certification Required
• One additional certification and/or specialization required
• 2+ years personal training experience required
