Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd in Eynsham, Oxfordshire, seeks a Personal Tax Supervisor to lead a portfolio of personal tax clients and support the Tax Manager and Partners with advisory work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients (individuals, sole traders, partnerships).
• Prepare and review personal tax computations and returns for compliance.
• Support advisory work with CGT and IHT, guiding juniors as needed.
• Communicate with HMRC and liaise with clients to deliver excellent service.
• Prepare and review P11Ds and monitor deadlines.

In this role,you will take ownership of a portfolio of personal tax clients, overseeingcompliance work whilst supporting the Tax Manager and Partners with advisoryprojects. KeyResponsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients,including individuals, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Prepare and review personal tax computations andreturns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support Managers and Partners with advisorywork, particularly in Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT).
• Provide guidance and support to junior teammembers as required.
• Collaborate with other offices and departmentsas needed.
• Communicate with HMRC through email, letter, andtelephone.
• Liaise directly with clients to provideexceptional service and build strong working relationships.
• Prepare and review form P11Ds and ensure clientsare informed of impending deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes anddeliver additional value to clients.
  

Requirements

• You should be ATT/ CTA/ ACA/ ACCA qualified, orqualified by experience, with at least 3-5 years of experience in anaccountancy practice or personal tax role. Experience managing a portfolio ofclients, reviewing tax returns, and supporting advisory work is essential,along with proficiency in relevant tax computation software.
